    Chocolate Hazelnut Mylkshake

    Chocolate Hazelnut Mylkshake

The one thing you need to know about sending kids off to school, is that the after-school snack is a BIG deal! My kids come home ravenous, so it’s been fun to surprise them with special treats like homemade popcorn, banana muffins, and this Chocolate Hazelnut Mylkshake! It is rich, chocolate-y and 100% vegan, gluten and refined sugar free – a dream come true 🙂 We all LOVE it, and I know you will too!

I’ve loved using all kinds of nut milks in our house for years now, so when Almond Cow reached to me with their adorable Plant-based Milk Machine, I knew it would be a perfect fit. For this recipe, I used the Almond Cow to make homemade roasted hazelnut milk, which is super nutty and sweet. To it, I add unsweetened cocoa powder, frozen banana, a spoonful of almond butter, ice, and touch of maple syrup. Then I finish it off with some melted chocolate and crushed roasted hazelnuts. Who wouldn’t want to come home to that??

    Chocolate Hazelnut Mylkshake

I love this afternoon pick-me-up when you want something sweet and refreshing that will hold you over until dinner, because honestly I’m always thinking about the next meal haha. Make this for yourself, you kids, your friends, anybody! Then, let me know what you think in the comments below! xoxo – L

i love it here ✨🌊🇵🇹📍Porto, Portugal packing up our family of 6, and preparing for a 3 week long adventure away from our pups, horses, chickens, and plants, and jobs (!!) made me nervous for months. But like always, I did it anyway. I’m really thankful that I did. We’re celebrating Noah’s bar mitzvah and I can see him, and the other three kids, growing up before my eyes 🪬🧿✨ what an important thing to do with your children, we’re learning so much about each other. Wherever you go, there you are, and the beauty and chill are in your mind 🌊😍 travel | big family | European summer
